About the guitar lesson, Play Bass and the team behind it

Play Bass originates from Play Guitar, the first fully interactive CD-ROM guitar tuition sofware developed by the Virtual Music Corporation (VMC). Play Guitar is for beginner, intermediate and advanced guitarists and the VMC team realised that a fully fledged application aimed at bass guitarists was necessary.

This prompted guitar teacher Ian Visser, to visualise, write and compile Play Bass. Ian heads the
Play Bass team, which consists of music lovers who have taught and studied guitar for decades. Ian himself has played bass guitar for 12 years.

Play Bass and ScaleFinder come from musicians who used their expertise coupled with their passion for guitar. We are committed to providing a guitar lesson which is easy to use and has more features and benefits than any other guitar lesson available.
